Hello!
I’m Rana but most people call me Zaro.
I was three months from an economics degree when I discovered a disturbing truth: the most interesting problems in business have nothing to do with supply and demand curves. They're about why people buy green ketchup, or why adding a slower shipping option makes the fast one more popular.
I became a One Show finalist while my professors thought I was writing a thesis on monetary policy. Being half Egyptian and half Turkish doesn't just mean I speak three languages. It means I see stories through a mix of cultures and corners of the world.
I spent two years in banking, where I learned that a 2% interest rate difference matters less than the color of the credit card. Then a year analyzing European basketball, where I discovered that stats predict everything except the only thing that matters: who wins.
Now I work in advertising!
